At this point, you must be wondering how bamboo bowls can stand by the unique selling point of “zero-sugar” while ensuring delicious bowls…we know it doesn’t sound quite possible but let us debunk the myth for you!
Be it cooking or baking; sugar plays an indispensable role as it often performs more than one role in a given recipe. On the route to discovering bamboo bowls, we knew that we wanted people to enjoy healthy bowls without compromising their taste buds, so… we racked our brains hard to find the perfect replacement for sugar.

Extracts from monk fruit are recognised as SAFE by GRAS, a regulatory review process category used by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA also lists erythritol as GRAS for use in a variety of foods and beverages. GRAS requires expert consensus that a food ingredient is safe for its intended use.
